Chapter 5
Orchestration
Many things at once, reviewed at the right time
Draft. Written, but not yet complete or polished.
Here's what a good afternoon with agents looks like. You kick off a feature, and while an agent builds it, you kick off a bug fix somewhere else. When the feature is worth looking at, you review it, give your feedback, and send it back to work. Then you check on the bug fix, and kick off the next thing.
Many things happen at once, but you only ever do one of them: the review in front of you. So the skill is choosing when to look. I call those moments review checkpoints. Look too often, and you pay switching costs all day. Look too rarely, and an agent spends an hour building the wrong thing. This chapter is about setting up your checkpoints well.
